Turiya, The 4th State Of Consciousness

Turiya

In early Hindu philosophy, turiya (also called caturtha) is a state of pure consciousness, or the experience of ultimate reality and truth. It is a fourth state of consciousness that underlies and at the same time transcends three common states of consciousness: (i) the state of waking consciousness (jagrata), (ii) the state of dreaming (svapna), (iii) and dreamless sleep (susupti).

Turiya Transcendental Consciousness

Human experience tends to encompass three main states of being—jagrata, the state of waking consciousness; svapna, the dream state; and susupti, the state of deepest sleep. In jagrata, our awareness is focused outward, just as our awareness turns inward when we exist in svapna. The self—the seat of all awareness—survives as an autonomous entity in susupti, when it is tethered to neither body, nor mind. Understanding that this is so makes existence in a fourth state possible. Early Hindu philosophy told of another state of consciousness known as turiya, which underlies the common states of consciousness while also transcending them. In turiya, the self does not think, feel, or do, but rather observes thought, emotion, and action. We are, in this fourth state of consciousness, blissfully whole and, for the first time, capable of truly understanding the totality of the universe.

The existence of turiya is proven by the simple fact that we are wholly aware of our existence in jagrata, svapna, and susupti. The source of this awareness is the pure essence of self, which lives through and witnesses the common states within us. We connect with this element of humanity when we enter the turiya state. To achieve turiya, you must consciously isolate yourself from both the corporeal self and the mental self. Accomplishing this is a matter of extreme self trust, as you must first be confident that your existence in a higher plane of consciousness will not compromise your ability to navigate effectively in the physical plane. Meditation practiced with the mantra "I am the soul," can help you let go of the need to be grounded in body or mind. As you unlock the key to the fourth state of being, remember that turiya has no limits and no endpoint. It is infinitely transcendent, which means its potential is forever expanding.

The self you discover in turiya is the representation of your permanent, intrinsic, essential, yet all-encompassing nature. You are a unique individual and you are a vital part of a larger universal life force that transcends everything on earth. When you touch this part of yourself through meditation, the manner in which you experience the three common states of being will change profoundly. Reality and truth become more clearly defined, allowing you to perceive that which lies above, below, and beyond the human experience.

This should give YOU something to think on for awhile. Who knows how different and/or, better your life may be if YOU can reach this level? Give it a try, got nothing to lose.

Crown Chakra-Sahasrara

Crown Chakra Generic Name: Crown Chakra Eastern Name: Sahasrara Location: Right above the top of the head Color: Purple, White(clear)Musical Note: B Crystals and Gemstones: Diamond, Clear Crystal Quartz, White Jade, Amethyst, Celestite Attributes: This chakra is related to one's spiritual connection to the universe, the ability to be open to all, and an overall cosmic understanding. Glandular Connection: Pituitary

Special Notes: If a person has a blocked crown chakra, the last thing on his mind is his spirituality. This is the atheist who believes his life snuffs out the moment he dies. This is not to imply that this person does not have ethics or morality-simply that his life is limited to physical and mental perceptions only.

This is the highest vibrating chakra and is considered the closest link to the soul. An open crown chakra allows access to the infinite, divine inspiration, nirvana, and detachment from illusion. If the other chakras are open as well, a person is able to fully manifest, express, and live a life that is beyond compare.

At last we come to the end of our journey, climbing to the nectar blossom of our flower—the thousand-petaled lotus sitting at the crown of the head. This is the chakra of thought, consciousness, and information, our most abstract and versatile level of all the chakras. Like the Muladhara, which has its roots in matter, the Sahasrara chakra, which means "thousandfold" has its thousand petals of spirit reaching into the infinite cosmos. To the Hindus, thousand is a way of expressing infinity, and indeed, this chakra has no limits in its scope.

The element of Sahasrara is thought, a fundamentally distinct and unmeasurable entity that is the first and barest manifestation of the greater field of consciousness around us. Correspondingly, the function of the chakra is knowing, just as other chakras relate to seeing, doing, or feeling. It is through the crown chakra that we store and retrieve information and run it through our lower chakras to bring things into manifestation.

The crown chakra is most significantly characterized by a quality of "withinness," contrasting the external manifestation in time and space of the lower chakras. A single human brain contains some 13 billion interconnected nerve cells, capable of making more connections among themselves than the number of atoms in the universe. This staggering comparison leaves us with a pretty remarkable instrument. As there are 100 million sensory receptors in the body, and 10 trillion synapses in the nervous system, we find that the mind is 100,000 times more sensitive to the organism’s internal environment than the external. It is truly from a place within that we acquire and process our knowledge.

Withinness is a way of accessing a dimension that has no locality in time and space. If we postulate that each chakra represents a dimension of smaller and faster vibration, we theoretically reach a place in the crown chakra where we have a wave of infinite speed and no wavelength, allowing it to be everywhere at once and yet having no perceivable location. Ultimate states of consciousness are described as omnipresent. By reducing the world to a pattern system, occupying no physical dimension, we have infinite storage capacity for its symbols. In other words, we carry the whole world inside our heads.

Pattern implies order. To the Hindus, order is the one underlying universal reality, and that order is considered synonymous with consciousness. Consciousness, then, is a field of ordered pattern. Chakra 7 is our gateway to "cosmic consciousness" or "higher consciousness." These terms merely refer to awareness of a deeper, more encompassing order. It is the perception of meta-patterns, deep central truths about our cosmic ordering system. Manifesting our thought-forms into reality is a matter of following the lines of order we perceive.

The crown chakra is the place where we study consciousness itself, even though each chakra reflects a state of consciousness. It must be remembered in this study that what we are looking for is the very thing that is doing the looking. Intelligence is less a matter of finding the answers than of realizing who and what are asking the questions.

Thought is comprised of bits of information that we spend time organizing. Through our experiences, each one of us builds a personal matrix of information within our mind. From the first glimpses of our mother’s face to our doctoral dissertation, we spend our time trying to put information about our world into some semblance of order. The very act of thinking is the process of following lines of order. Our matrix structures become our personal belief systems and the ordering principles of our lives. Not only do we organize new information into our personal structure, but we also order the events of our lives that bring us that information.

Kundalini is the "force" of consciousness. As she rises and descends, she changes the internal order of the personal matrix, each time allowing a greater perception of the whole. Each of the chakras represents a level of organization, valid for the work on its particular level. Each time Kundalini rises, we find ourselves needing to reorganize our lives to match the higher order She brings us.

While each chakra is a disk, programmed with information relating to its particular function, the seventh chakra can be seen as the overall operating system for the whole biocomputer. It represents our belief systems, the way we categorize our information, and even our ability to be aware at all. Thoughts are things, and they are the seeds from which all manifestation grows. Like all seeds, they contain the pattern that shapes the flower as it grows.

Exercise for Following one’s thoughts Lie or sit in a comfortable meditation position. Allow your mind to become relatively calm and quiet, using whatever technique is most effective for you.

Gradually let yourself pay attention to the thoughts that pass through your mind. Pick one and ask yourself where it came from—what thoughts preceded it. Then follow to the origin of that thought. It may be something that occurred years ago or something that is pressing on you right now. Then again follow that thought to its source and on to each thought’s origin.

Eventually, we come to a kind of infinite source that has no objective origin. Return and pick another thought that passes through. Repeat the same sequence, going further and further back. See how many of your thoughts emanate from a similar source—either an issue you’re working with in your life right now, a past teaching, or your own place of connection with the infinite.

This is the Ultimate chakra that controls all the other chakras. As the article points out, if you have this chakra fully tuned and balanced, the others will be in line and you should have the best life possible.

Shiva Stone(Lingams)

Today was a good day, because, I learned something new! I learned about the Shiva Stone, or Shiva Lingams. So, I wanted to pass this on to any of YOU that may be interested.

Shiva Lingams’, sacred to the Hindu tradition, are ceremoniously gathered once a year from the muddy banks of the Narmada River, one of the 7 sacred places of pilgrimage in India. They are naturally formed of a mineral called crypto-crystalline quartz, with iron oxide deposits theorized by geologists to have been implanted in the riverbed by a meteorite millions of years ago.

The Lingam is representative of the power of Shiva, The Lord of Creation. The shape embodies the masculine creative energy, dynamic expression and knowledge. The markings, ‘yoni’, depict feminine energy, the seed which is fertilized to manifest the creative power in the dance of the cosmos.

The lingam also represents harmony and balance within the hearts of all of us, the Light that shines from within. This Sacred Stone relates to the fifth charka, the heart charka, and is the manifestation of the love energy that resides in all of us. It seems by destiny everyone has a lingam that has an energy that relates intimately to him or her.

If YOU are in the Orlando, Florida area, YOU can get your Lingams at the Spiral Circle BookstoreNew Age, metaphysical, bookstore, spiritual, enlightenment

Peace & Soulz,

Soul Mates PT 3 Twin Flame

This is the third part in our series on "Soul Mates". Hopefully, you will have gotten something out of this. If nothing more than, to believe, or, not believe. If this series at least made you think, and, possibly answered some of your questions, then it was a SUCCESS!

TWIN FLAMES

Your soul is consciousness or thought. We often perceive it as a creational flame, a light or a soul spark of light.

Physical reality is made of electromagnetic energy which has poles (north/south) - polarity - duality - opposites - male/female - yin/yang.

When you experience in third dimension your soul spark splits in half - male and female. One half remains in higher frequency [As is Above] while one half spirals in third dimension [So is Below]. If you are female, your partner above is male and vice versa.

Sometimes you catch a glimpse of that spark of light - if only for a second. The flash of light appears as gold, silver, blue, or violet and can vary in size and duration of time - usually no more that one second. It is at this time - we are raising our frequency - our level of consciousness thought - to experience beyond what our physical eyes show us. We see our twin flame who exists as a soul spark in higher frequency. It is who we are as well.

Encoded in our DNA - as part of the human experience - is the need to reunite with our twin flame. This draws us back to our creational source after we experience in third dimension. It reminds of that we will journey Home - to find this twin aspect of ourselves who loves us unconditionally and makes us feel complete - as One.We search for ourselves by healing to restore balance at which time we will reach Zero Point- the merge of our matter and antimatter selves.

The third dimension is often referred to as 'In The Box'. When your polarities merge - Your male and female aspects will move 'Out of the Box' igniting union with your Twin Flame or Twin Aspect.

Many people miss their other soul aspect, and feel incomplete throughout their lives. They feel alone, often abandoned and lost, depressed. They cannot find themselves. A piece of themselves is always missing. They search for it in third dimension but never completely find it. If they are lucky, they find someone who comes close to making them feel whole. They want someone to love them, share with them and help them through this journey.

You can meet someone who can carry the frequency of our Twin Flame and give you the feeling of union - Oneness. When you make love with that partner - you can experience all of who you are - the union is multi-dimensional. You can also feel the energies of your other soul aspect - as part of the union!

Creation is linked to the color frequency BLUE as that is the color of electricity. One day you will rejoin your Twin Flame and you will spiral out in the color BLUE.

Soul Mates PT 2 The One

Before we go any further, it was suggested to me, by my "soul mate", that I should offer some dictionary/encyclopedia definitions of the term soul mate.

Soulmate (or soul mate) is a term sometimes used to designate someone with whom one has a feeling of deep affinity, friendship, love, strong intimacy or compatibility.

The term makes reference to the concept of the soul and carries certain New Age overtones.

There is a prevalent concept in some segments of the New Age movement that some souls are literally made and/or fated to be the mates of each other, or to play certain other important roles in each others' lives.

A related concept is that of the twin flame or twin soul - thought to be the ultimate soulmate, the one and only other half of one's soul, which all souls are driven to find and unite with.

However, not everyone who uses these terms intends them to carry such mystical connotations; they are sometimes used simply as an expression of strong emotional feeling for someone.

DefinitionsClassical - Greek mythology - An angry god split our ancestors into two resulting in humans who are condemned to spending their lives searching for the other half, the soulmate.

Spiritual and religious - concepts of reincarnation and karma. Soulmates have spent many previous lifetimes together.

Companion soulmate - People with whom one has made a connection.

Twin soulmates - Very close friends with whom one has strong bonds.

Twin flame soulmate - A popular romantic belief that there is only one true soulmate.

Our series on Soul Mates continues as promised. Part 2 explains "The One". Enjoy, and, feel free to post any comments you may have.

THE ONE

How many times have you met someone who touched your heart and you have asked, "Is this person, 'The One'?" This expression refers to "The One For Me...."

From the time we are able to desire a partner - most people seek The One - the person who is here to make them feel complete.

That person would be a lifetime partner - always there with unconditional love, compassion and understanding.

The One is here to share your journey - through all of its detours - and to support your decisions as you evolve.

When you meet The One - if you are lucky enough to meet that person - you do not have to ask, "Is this The One?" You will know.

Most people change too much during their experiences here to meet The One.They meet souls who may seem to be The One at a cycle in their lives - but later move on with another or remain alone.

The One is your soul - divided by the barriers of Time and Space - above and below - feeling naked and alone in third dimension and struggling to find the answers to age old questions...Why am I here? What is my mission?

The One as yourTwin Flame This is your polar opposite - the yin / yang - the balance aspect of your soul - The One who makes you complete - and waits in higher frequency for soul reunion - often guiding your path in third dimension.

While in 3D - young people search for The One most of their lives.

Middle Age people - still seek that person - but their goals with that person have changed.

Older people still seek a companion - The One become less a person of 'passion' and more about 'compassion.'

The One is linked with many aspects of Love: Spiritual [pure consciousness connection] - Physical [passion] - Romantic [feeds the heart and fantasies] - Emotional [understands and fills our many needs] - Mental [growing together and sharing new choices]

Do you think you have found The One?

Have you found - then lost - The One?

Do you have something to release connected to The One?

Have you concluded that you will never meet The One?

When you say that - are you saddened by the thought?

If you do not meet The One - will you settle for another?

Can you be alone and not be lonely?

Does being alone scare you?

Do you long for romance and passion?

Do not look for The One. Live your life. Embrace the moment. Be kind and caring.

If The One for you is out there - and you are BOTH ready - you will attract each other by synchronicity - no other way.

to be continued....

Soul Mates Pt 1

"Soul Mates" is a topic that I decided to focus on recently because of some encounters that I have had with various people I have come in contact with. Some of the coincidences and experiences I have been told about, were just completely unreal in my mind. However, the folks that were passing them on, were totally believable, credible, sincere and truthfully convinced that their life experiences in this subject are factually based.

Being the believing soul that I am, I said to myself, "damn, there could be something to all this, let me check this stuff out". See, I am the kind of person that believes anything until, you prove it is not true, or, does not exist. Until then, "hey, it's real". And yeah, I believe dragons existed. "Godzilla", I'm still working on that one.

My next couple posts will deal with this subject and different aspects. Please feel free to post comments at any time with your experiences and beliefs. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated and helpful to all. And, maybe to yourself.

SOUL MATES

The term Soul Mates means many things. These are soul that you have experienced with in past, parallel or future lifetimes. They can also be aspects of your soul experiencing at this time in another body. We are all have multidimensional beings - your soul having experiences, in many realities, at the same time. As we all evolve from the same source of consciousness creation - we could say that we are all souls mates in a manner of speaking.

Soul mates can have various types of relationships, which do not always include romantic love. We tend to think of our soul mate as The One who is there for us and to make us feel complete.

Souls often come together to work out issues or play reverse roles than that which they are experiencing elsewhere.

Anyone who is in your biological family - or adopted family - or pseudo-family - is a soul mate to you.

You feel closer to certain souls, because you have attracted them into your life as they are on the same frequency as you or because you want to work out issues with them.

Karma is the responsibilites shared between soul mates..

Often souls mates come together to bring another soul into the physical realms. A man and woman mate and produce one or more children - the karma thus completed ends. The couple separates and share whatever karma is linked to the child.

Sometimes the karma in family is between mother and child - so the child remains exclusively with the mother. Sometimes the karma is with the father and the mother leaves or deceases. Sometimes it is with both parents or with a sibling who has entered the game before or after you.Soul mates can be close friends, co-workers, a teacher, anyone who influences your life one way or another. They play the emotional - spiritual - physical - and mental - games of third dimension with you.

Did you know that you often attract people into your life who look as you do in parallel or past lives? For example - you are a man seeking a female partner. You will seek out someone who looks and acts if you were a woman - like a mirror image. Your ideal partner is who you are in that physical body! We are always seeking ways to experience ourselves.

Men often seek the goddess when searching for a mate - one who looks like the priestess - slim body, long flowing hair purity of soul - beauty and gentleness of creation that speaks to their soul of union with the female creational force. It is SHE who brings loves, guidance, compassion and reunion of your twin soul aspects.

to be continued.....

Spiritualism And YOU

You know, before my father passed on to the other side, he left me with one good bit of philosophy, "the only thing worse than going backwards, is standing still doing and going nowhere". This is so true and applies to all facets of life. Including your beliefs, or, lack there of. Yes, we were all raised with certain "religious" beliefs, but, does that make them "set in stone" or close the door to anything else? I think not, and, anyone with an"opyn mind" should feel the same way and be receptive to other philosophies and thoughts. Especially since most religious teachings cannot be proven or ratified one way or the other.

In recent months, I have come to realize that there is alot more going on on this planet and dimension than most people realize, or, even care to explore. Much of it is way more substantive and realistic than the so called "religious" beliefs most people carry. A bunch of my peers and clients have asked me about some of the things I have learned. One is, the term, spirituality. This posting is for the folks that would like to know just what "spirituality" is. Enjoy and, "opyn your mindz".

What is Spiritualism?

Spiritualism is a common sense religion, one of knowing and living. We accept all truths and endeavor to prove their validity. Truths are found in nature, both physical and spiritual, in other religions, in writings, in science, in philosophy, and in Divine Law. Truths are also received through spirit communication.

A number of the tenets of other religions are found in the beliefs of Modern Spiritualists, and are reflected in the Declaration of Principles. One constant in all religions is the Golden Rule, expressed in many ways, conveying the message of humanity and love in all interactions.

The Modern Spiritualist movement began in Hydesville, New York in March, 1848. Two sisters in the Fox family began to hear rationally unexplainable rappings in the house. With time, communication with a spirit began first with “Yes” and “No” raps, and then with raps identifying letters of the alphabet. The Fox sisters were invited to a number of public forums in which they were asked to demonstrate their mediumistic abilities to a skeptical audience. Their gifts, and those of a number of legitimate psychics and mediums, spurred great public interest in Spiritualism into the early 1900s when that interest lagged.

In the present day, there appears to be a renewal of spiritual awareness as people look for answers in troubled times.

Definitions of Spiritualism

Spiritualism is the Science, Philosophy and Religion of continuous life, based upon the demonstrated fact of communication, by means of mediumship, with those who live in the Spirit World. (1919)

"Spiritualism Is a Science" Because it investigates, analyzes and classifies facts and manifestations demonstrated from the spirit side of life.

"Spiritualism Is a Philosophy" because it studies the Laws of Nature both on the seen and unseen sides of life and bases its conclusions upon present observed facts. It accepts statements of observed facts of past ages and conclusions drawn therefrom, when sustained by reason and by results of observed facts of the present day.

"Spiritualism Is a Religion" because it strives to understand and to comply with the Physical, Mental and Spiritual Laws of Nature, which are the laws of God.

A Spiritualist is one who believes, as the basis of his or her religion, in the communication between this and the Spirit World by means of mediumship and who endeavors to mold his or her character and conduct in accordance with the highest teachings derived from such communication. (1914, Rev. 1938)

A Medium is one whose organism is sensitive to vibrations from the spirit world and through whose instrumentality, intelligences in that world are able to convey messages and produce the phenomena of Spiritualism. (1914)
