The New Teacher
The New Teacher

You're not going to like the new teacher. They will ask you questions instead of giving you the answers. They won't tell you how to think, they won't tell you which path you should be on, and they won't tell you what to do. They will tell stories instead of preach, and let you arrive at the answer that is right for you.
The new teacher will not make your choices for you. The new teacher isn't here to carry your weight on the path either. The new teacher inspires you to gain strength and confidence, so you can walk that path on your own. They want you to be independent; not dependent. They want to walk with you . . . not have you follow behind them.
The new teacher will not limit your possibilities for the new teacher knows that there are a multitude of paths all going to the same destination. For this reason, the new teacher will never say "my way is the only way". The new teacher wants you to awaken to the God power you have inside. The new teacher will never offer a student a spiritual shortcut. The new teacher is a hard core realist. They know that spiritual progress usually comes step-by-step over time and with dedication, but they are also open to the magical fact that spontaneous awakenings happen, and do.
The new teacher will never make negative prophecies, because they understand that in their position that they can influence many people. If they influence others into a state of fear, they also know that they block them from their ability to access truth from Spirit. The new teacher also understands the power of the collective consciousness. They know that by putting out negative predictions that it will influence the entire collective fabric and create limitations; thus making our work at this time unnecessarily harder. They know fear stops you from hearing inner truth.
The new teacher won't be impressed by gifts or compliments. They're not acting as teacher to boost their egos, or to prove how enlightened they are, or to create a following. In fact, many teachers don't want to be teachers at all. You might find them in the most unusual places. A teacher might be a downtrodden character sitting next to you in a little café, or you might find the teacher in a place you might expect, like a conference. The new teacher will be every where, or could be anybody. God works through all people and in countless ways.

The new teacher will not try to win you over by promising you spiritual phenomena or with grandiose visions. Spiritual phenomena is a form of metaphysical entertainment. It might be fun, but it doesn't get you very far on the path. Spiritual phenomena may or may not show up around your spiritual teacher, or you. If spiritual phenomena does enter your path, enjoy the journey.
If it doesn't show up, enjoy the journey anyway!
The new teachers are not status oriented. Status, or titles, means one person is better than another and creates a separation. Status or title empowers one, while it dis-empowers another, and this is not acceptable. The new teacher, won't be impressed by who you were in the past, the experiences you have had, or how much you know unless they are relevant to the present situation. They won't be much impressed with your degrees, titles, and exalted positions. They don't care about your genetic heritage, how much education you've had, or who you have worked with. All they care about is who you are right now. The new teacher will be real with you, and hope that you will be real back. After all, who we were in the past is just that . . . the past. That was then, this is now. All they care about is where your heart is now, because nothing else matters but NOW.

The Rise to Fourth Density

Everything in the universe vibrates and oscillates. Therefore the connecting link between all forms of energy is vibration, sympathetic harmony, and resonance. Dr. Dan Burisch, David Wilcock, and others have discovered that a simply quartz crystal, electricity, and water are all the ingredients needed to create a medium for spontaneous DNA to appear in the vacuum..

Are YOU Listening To Spirit
----------------- Bulletin Message -----------------
From: TREYYA
Date: 10/02/2008
_____________________________________Listening for Spirit
by Norma Gentile
_____________________________________
Do you hear your guides or angels sing to you? Most of us would answer 'no'.
Have you noticed tones, either low or high pitched, in one ear but not the other? Or ringing that seems to come from inside your ears?
Try this simple process. As you are reading, notice any three sounds in the background - traffic, a TV or radio, conversation, birds...anything within earshot. Now listen underneath these audible sounds. Start by noticing what the sound is like right next to you, at the entrance to your ears. What do you hear, or even feel? Does your sense of your body change? Now listen to what you are hearing inside of your ears. Is the sound or the silence the same inside the right ear as the left ear, or different?
Finally bring your attention to the point between your ears, in the center of your head. What changes do you notice in what you hear, how your body feels, or your overall quality of attention?
Since you have started reading this article, do you have a keener awareness of the sounds around you? Is your body finding this increased awareness relaxing, or are you growing more irritated by these background sounds?
Here is a perfect example of how the external world affects us in a constant and ongoing fashion. Equivalently, we often react to circumstances based on the way they are making us feel, rather than based on how we would like them to feel. Simply put, we react to external stimuli, rather than act upon internal guidance.
Listening to the outer world, we found a variety of sounds moving through our bodies as well as our ears. What about the inner world? Focusing on the sounds or qualities of silence present in ourselves provides us with a reference point for our own spiritual self.
What you give your attention to grows. As you give your attention to the inner silence or tones, you consciously affirm your connection with those guides and angels that dwell with you. These sounds, or even silences, are the bridges that span the dimensions between worlds.
Now put this into action. Bring your attention to the point within or near your ears that seemed the most active for you. Address the sound or silence as you would a new aquaintance, with respect and a bit a curiosity. Ask the sound or silence for one thing it would like to convey to you. Chances are it will be a simple, yet important idea. The information might also be given to you as a color, a smell, or even a momentary sensation of warmth or motion.
After receiving the message, thank the sound or silence for its generosity and all that it has given you. Suggest that it move on to wherever it needs to go to now for its own continued evolutionary growth.
Take a moment to see it leave, moving into the Earth, the Sun, or perhaps out into the Universe. Now how does the area of your ears feel? Does your body overall feel different? Did you release some energy in a sigh, large breath or yawn?
By noticing any changes, you give yourself greater permission to do this again - afterall - something happened!
Guides and angels often are perceived as tones or qualities of silence inside of the ears. Sometimes tinitus, or ringing in the ears, is caused by the presence of these beings too close to the physical body.
Guides do not have bodies, and it is up to us, as physical beings, to let them know when we are uncomfortable with the way they are connecting to us.
By bringing your attention to the tone, you are in essence 'dialing' the guide's 'phone number'. By thanking them and asking them to leave, you are telling them (and yourself) to be sure to 'hang up' after the conversation.
When you take private time for prayer or meditation, try listening not only to the music you enjoy of the external world, but to the inner world also.

Lavender & YOU

Lavender and its Magical Properties
You all know the pretty plant that is lavender. But did you know that lavender has magical properties? Well, maybe not quite fully certified magical, but close. Lavender essential oil is my absolute favorite essential oil. It has so many uses that it is always necessary to have it on hand. Not only does it smell great, it has important curative powers. Here are some of the ways that I have used lavender essential oil.
Burns or scalds.
This works best if applied neat (undiluted) to the area affected by the burn or scald. The skin should be intact, use your judgment. It takes away the pain quickly and the skin heals with almost no sign of damage. This includes sunburns.
Pimples.
Your adolescent will love you for this remedy. Because lavender oil is antibacterial, it destroys pimples and the associated bacteria quickly and easily. Apply it neat as soon as you feel a pimple developing and the pimple is banished shortly. If you didn't catch it in time, it makes pimples come to a head faster and it helps with the swelling and redness.
Sleep & relaxation.
Just a drop or 2 to a cotton ball or tissue placed beneath the pillowcase under your head at night makes you sleep more soundly and more quickly. Lavender has amazing relaxation properties that will leave you refreshed in the morning.
Migraines or Headaches.
Apply a drop to your temples or the back of your neck and massage into the skin. This helps with both tension headaches as well as migraines. For some people with migraines, the smell may be too strong during the acute stage of a migraine. During this time you can apply the lavender oil the muscled area between your thumb and forefinger on the backside of your hand (both hands). This is an acupressure point associated with headaches.
Insect repellent and insect bites.
Just like citronella, lavender has the ability to ward off mosquitos and flies. Additionally, it can help calm the itching of an insect bite. I can really attest to this one as I am the world's number one mosquito attractor.
A word of caution. Those with sensitive skin cannot always tolerate direct application of lavender oil to the skin. If that is the case for you, you can dilute the oil with a carrier oil such as almond oil or jojoba oil. European made essential oils are the best for now unless you know the source that you are getting the oil from is organically grown. Europe has standards for the production of essential oils, the United States does not. Because of the extreme concentration of essential oils, the should always be organically grown.

Knowledge & Truth
The Evolution of Knowledge

It is said that the Buddha's definition of truth is "what works." His pithy statement points toward one of the essential teachings about truth also contained within the path of yoga: impermanence. Knowledge and information come into our consciousness at an appropriate time, enhance our being, and when we have integrated the lesson, it passes. The intelligence to accept the impermanence of all experience is the seat of true knowingness.
Great joy can arise when we experience new layers of truth. It can be so enticing that there is the temptation to hold onto it in attachment and perhaps proselytize to others. We often identify with what we know. Every time you say, "This is the way things should be done," you close yourself down to the possibility of a new, perhaps more evolved, efficient or friendly way of being. You also distance yourself from those who do not know, increasing division along lines of right and wrong. Even in the world of yoga, we sometimes find ourselves debating about the "right" method.
If we look again at the Buddha's definition of truth as "what works," we see that what works constantly changes. Hence, we already have the basis for a relaxed, open understanding of reality. What works one day will not necessarily work for every day that follows. Even what seems perfect will one day pass away, and what's absolutely suited to you in a particular moment changes—try to hold onto it and a small part of you dies inside and remains caught in the past!
Throughout our journey in yoga, we have met many inspirational teachers. One of the most evolved states of yoga involves being both open to new information and ready to simultaneously let it go when the cycle is finished—that is, non-attachment even to the very knowledge which enlightens our lives. Even the great truths of Western science are merely hypotheses that are meant to be true for a given period of time, until refuted. Zen teacher Suzuki Roshi gives us the phrase "Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind" (the title of his influential book) to explain that in the expert's point of view, there are no new possibilities for learning, while the beginner's experience holds all things possible.
In terms of your practice, if you "know" that your shoulder is weak, how will you approach certain postures? If you "know" that a particular teacher is good (or bad) how will you feel in the class? What would happen if you walked into every situation with a beginner's mind?
Knowledge in its highest sense satisfies our hunger for the spiritual, elevating us beyond our daily identification with our small self. Knowledge belongs to no one, but can be felt, experienced and uncovered by all. Be open to it.
