Da Vinci's 'Last Supper' Goes Online

MILAN, Italy (Oct. 28) - Can't get to Milan to see Leonardo Da Vinci's masterpiece "The Last Supper?" As of Saturday, all you need is an Internet connection. Officials put online an image of the "Last Supper" at 16 billion pixels - 1,600 times stronger than the images taken with the typical 10 million pixel digital camera.

The high resolution will allow experts to examine details of the 15th century wall painting that they otherwise could not - including traces of drawings Leonardo put down before painting.

The high-resolution allows viewers to look at details as though they were inches from the art work, in contrast to regular photographs, which become grainy as you zoom in, said curator Alberto Artioli.

"You can see how Leonardo made the cups transparent, something you can't ordinarily see," said Artioli. "You can also note the state of degradation the painting is in.

"Besides allowing experts and art-lovers to study the masterpiece from home, Artioli said the project provides an historical document of how the painting appears in 2007, which will be valuable to future generations of art historians.

Although there appeared to be problems with the Web site late Saturday, it was accessible earlier in day.

The work, in Milan's Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, was restored in a painstaking effort that wrapped up in 1999 - a project aimed at reversing half a millennium of damage to the famed artwork. Leonard painted the "Last Supper" dry, so the painting did not cleave to the surface in the fresco style, meaning it is more delicate and subject to wear.

"Over the years it has been subjected to bombardments; it was used as a stall by Napoleon," Artioli said. The restoration removed 500 years of dirt while also removing previous restoration works that masked Leonardo's own work.

Even those who get to Milan have a hard time gaining admission to see the "Last Supper." Visits have been made more difficult by measures to protect it. Twenty-five visitors are admitted every 15 minutes to see the painting for a total of about 320,000 visitors a year. Visitors must pass through a filtration system to help reduce the work's exposure to dust and pollutants.

Dalai Lama Visits Canada

Dalai Lama begins visit to Canada

The Dalai Lama, the exiled leader of Tibet's Buddhists, arrived in Ottawa on Sunday at the start of a visit to Canada that will include a meeting with Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

Tenzin Gyatso, a 72-year-old Buddhist monk who is the 14th Dalai Lama, addressed a sold-out crowd of 5,000 people at the Ottawa Civic Centre for two hours on Sunday afternoon.

The Dalai Lama spoke about his meeting last week with U.S. President George W. Bush in Washington. He said he found Bush to be a likable man but that he has some "reservations" about his policies, particularly on the war in Iraq.

Some observers have speculated that the spiritual leader's meeting on Monday with Harper on Parliament Hill could hurt relations between Canada and China. Chinese authorities have said they see any public meeting between the Dalai Lama and political leaders as interfering in China's affairs.

The country invaded Tibet shortly after the 1949 Chinese Revolution. It considers the Dalai Lama an agitator with secessionist ambitions for Tibet. The Dalai Lama has lived in exile in India since staging a failed uprising against Chinese rule in 1959.

During the Dalai Lama's last visit to Canada, in 2006, Chinese officials protested when Parliament decided to grant him honorary Canadian citizenship.

"Since the late 1980s, the Dalai Lama has clearly expressed his view that all Tibetans want is cultural and religious autonomy under Chinese sovereignty," said Jacob Kovalio, a professor of Asian history at Carleton University in Ottawa.

Foreign leaders have shown they are increasingly willing to risk discord with Beijing to underscore concerns for human rights in Tibet, he told CBC Newsworld on Sunday.

"Canada is saying to China, like many other nations — for example, India — that human rights [and] religious freedom are important, and that there is such a field for which China has to adjust itself to the international community instead of imposing the kind of approaches which simply don't fit the times," Kovalio said.

Paul Martin was the first Canadian prime minister to meet with the Dalai Lama in 2004 in what was described as a politically neutral setting, the home of the Roman Catholic archbishop of Ottawa.

The spiritual leader's latest visit to Canada caps a multi-country tour that has taken him to the United States, Europe and Australia.

Last week, Bush met with him privately in the White House and before Congress, when the monk received Congress's highest civilian honour, the Congressional Gold Medal.

The Dalai Lama is scheduled to travel to Toronto on Tuesday, where he will hold a public talk Wednesday night on "The Art of Happiness" at Rogers Centre.

It's always great to see the Dalai Lama out and about spreading all the goodness that he represents. Canada should have a very good week with his prescence.

Universal Consciousness & YOU Pt 2 (Principles 7-12)

This is the second part or half of the 12 Principles For Universal Consciousness and the new realities for YOU. Hope they help YOU get a better grip on YOU.

7. Life reflects what you project

Reflectance is a property of the universe. Also known as karma, this principle states that life reflects your beliefs, emotions and actions. The stronger these are, the more apparent it becomes that life is a mirror of what you project.

Every time you change the way you view life, the universe, just like a mirror, reflects your new view of reality. This may not occur instantaneously as, often, circumstances do not allow the new reflection to immediately manifest. In this case, the new reality is held, like a pressure within the aura of your body’s subtle magnetic field. You then walk around in life, surrounded by this magnetic potential, as it influences your circumstances to adapt into a form where the new reality will be able to manifest and operate.

Reflectance, sooner or later, produces manifestation. Therefore, if you don’t like something in your life, the most powerful way to change its effect permanently is to discover how you are generating that reflection, and then change your point of view so that you change the reflection that you are causing from the universe.

That’s how reflectance works. It’s just like law in physics. It’s how the universe was designed. The mirror of life will shine happiness upon you, but not until you first decide, within yourself, to become a happy person. Then it will reflect your new reality.

8. Abundance is natural

Natural abundance comes from ‘getting into the flow,’ by doing work that brings a sense of inner excitement. The phrase “Follow your inner joy” is actually the key to abundance. Once you follow your innermost joy and adapt your situation to doing work that you love, then synchronicity begins to flow. Synchronicity is the universe’s way of telling you that you’re on the right track. It is a flow of events where everything starts clicking into place in order to support your efforts.

Synchronicity brings you opportunities, people, events and circumstances exactly when and where they need to be. When life flows naturally, the universe’s natural state of abundance follows automatically.

9. Love is the only reality

Unconditional, holistic love is the answer to all of life’s challenges. We are here on Earth to learn how to love ourselves and others, and to accept ourselves and others completely, without judgment.

At this point, some people ask, “What, are you supposed to love someone who is bent on being anti-social, even destructive?” The secret here is that there is a difference between an acceptance of the outer beliefs of a person and an acceptance of their inner essence.

Regardless of that person’s outward belief system, and whether you agree with it or not, it is the inner essence of the person that you learn to recognize, love and accept.

The secret is that unconditional love will heal the world, and there is no shortage of its supply. The universe is permeated by, and held together by, the love aspect of the One Creator. You have only to allow it to flow through you in order to experience its wonder.

10. Self-responsibility

You create your own reality and take personal responsibility for it. Your life is a reflection of your point of view in this, the set of experiences that you, as a soul, planned for this life.

11. Truth is everywhere

The ultimate truth is to be found within, yet the study of a variety of sources of information helps you to reawaken and remember your inner truth. Your intuitive sense is your guide as to what material is most appropriate for you at any particular time during your personal development.

12. Inner connection and insight

Inner connection with your spiritual source promotes spiritual transformation and the achievement of your true potential. Developing intuition, both in men and women, provides an essential insight into life’s experiences.

The way this is achieved is through regular, daily meditation. The regular practice of meditation promotes intuitive insight, unconditional love and personal spiritual experiences. Any meditation technique that you prefer will function perfectly well, but the Infinite Being meditation technique is particularly powerful.

With practice, you actually need no technique at all, because you will find that you can go into those deeper levels of awareness, whenever you wish, as an acquired habit. New Reality, Universal Consciousness, YOU

Twelve Principles for the New Reality by Owen Waters


The New Reality brings with it a new vista of awareness. In order to operate successfully in the new environment, you need to apply the new principles which come with this expanded view of reality.

In this, the ultimate reality is recognized as universal consciousness, which is the formative essence behind all that exists within the universe. This essence can be called Infinite Being because it is the awareness behind everything within the universe.

1. Infinite Being is All That Is. Nothing exists outside of it

The universe exists within the consciousness of Infinite Being. The physical world exists within the consciousness of Infinite Being. We exist within the consciousness of Infinite Being.

2. We are Infinite Being

Creation is holographic in nature, meaning that the one can be found within the all. For example, the oak tree produces acorns and yet the life-form of a complete oak tree is contained within each acorn. If a picture hologram is divided into two, both parts will still retain the complete original picture.

While you are a part of the consciousness of Infinite Being, you are also Infinite Being itself. At the deepest level of reality, all that Infinite Being is, you are.

Therefore we are, each one of us, Infinite Being.

3. Purpose in life

Your overall purpose in life is to experience it from one individual, unique point of view. Just as each snowflake is unique, so is each person. From a cosmic point of view, you are one expression of Infinite Being as it experiences itself from all possible viewpoints. In this way, through you and all life, Infinite Being gains infinite experience.

At a personal level, you, as a soul, pre-planned the major themes of your life. You chose the time, the place and your parents in order to set a life plan in motion which would explore those themes. Such pre-planning gave rise to the occurrence of related, meaningful events in your life which may have already given you the impression that destiny exists.

Destiny does exist, to the extent that the major themes of your life are pre-planned, by you, ahead of time.

As you pass through life, certain names, places, people and activities resonate with a certain specialness in your consciousness. It’s almost as if you knew them once before, but you can’t quite remember when or where. That is destiny, as it unfolds important, pre-planned and pre-viewed events into your life.

In the phenomenon called déjà vu, scenes that you recognize as they unfold in your life are scenes which you had previously viewed in another state of consciousness. This previewing occurred either during your pre-life planning or, more often, in a recent, out-of-body, dream-state where, in order to help yourself remain on-purpose, you reviewed the important, upcoming events in your life.

4. Free will enables you to explore your true potential

Free will fills in all the details. It can be used to any degree that you choose. The most productive use of free will is to explore your true potential within the themes of your life, thus gaining the greatest possible experience from your life plan.

5. Reincarnation

Reincarnation exists to provide a variety of experiences, so that life skills may be gained, and so that, while in a physical body, you can rediscover your spiritual connection within.

6. Life after ‘death’

From the point of view of your true, inner personality, passing away from the physical realm is like stepping out of a suit that you have worn for a while. The suit is not the real you. In your spirit body, you move into the spirit realm, which is a place of joy and healing. After meeting with friends and relatives who have passed on before, you start work on resolving the issues which caused inner conflict during your physical life. Then, as you move into the higher realms, remembering more about who you really are, you experience reunion with the rest of your immediate and extended soul families.

These are the first 6 of the 12 principles for the "new reality", the Universal Consciousness. I will post 7 thru 12 tomorrow. This will give YOU a little time to digest and think through the first 6 principles. Hopefully, using your "opyn mindz", these principles will give YOU further insight to YOU and all of US and all that is.

Vibe Machine & Your Health

My good friend, and fellow spiritual soul Karen Hill, posted this blog on her myspace profile. Since we work toward the same goals, I borrowed her posting to put out to an even wider audience. Hope YOU enjoy this, and, go to the vibe machine website for more detailed info.

At Spiral Circle in downtown Orlando, they have installed a Vibe Machine. The Vibe Machine uses EMF to excite the cells in your body and to affect the water content and oxygen flow throughout your body. I have been using the Vibe Machine and have found it to have wonderful effects on my personal well being.

The Vibe Machine is somewhat like a Tesla coil with some modifications. It's very science fiction looking. Users sit in front of the machine while it is running and have a focused intention in their mind of what they wish to manifest. By raising our bodies vibration rate, we increase our chances of success. Your intention can be for healing, manifesting wealth, or just to increase your connection with God. Vibe sessions begin at one minute each and are gradually increased by one minute until you reach the level you feel you are comfortable with. Some people may "vibe" from five minutes and some for up to 30 or 45 minutes.

I have used the Vibe Machine to help me with my depression when I feel it coming on. I have used it to help increase my connection with God. I have found great results in my vibe sessions.

If you've never vibed and have an open mind, I recommend that you give it a try. Not everyone experiences it in the same way. Some people don't feel anything. Some have had out-of-body experiences; including yours truly. During the open house that we had, to introduce people to the Vibe Machine, those of us that worked at the store that night got to vibe for three straight minutes. Normally the machine runs for 30 seconds, then emits the EMF for 30 seconds and cycles like that. But we did a full three minutes of straight EMF exposure. That night I had an out-of-body experience. It was so peaceful and awesome.

Question? Spirituality & Abortion

While riding around Orlando, Florida today, I passed an abortion clinic with all the "usual suspects" out front with their "religious" signs, posters and propaganda. After looking at these uninformed narrow viewed "lost souls", I wondered, "how do spiritualist view/deal with abortion"?

Based on my studies and beliefs, synchronicity is everything. Nothing in this life or any other, happens by chance. It is all synchronized to take place before your soul even reincarnates back to this world and this dimension(3rd). Each soul that does come back, has a mission and purpose for being here. Each soul, to my knowledge and understanding, has chosen how they wish to reincarnate and return to the Earth plane. Some souls make bad choices. Other souls that have made correct choices and are here, may have a mission to stop some other souls from reincarnating in their current choice. This is, or could be, done through abortion.

So then, "is abortion wrong" if you believe and it is done in this context? As a spiritualist(YOU), does this make sense. Are YOU just doing what the Creator and the Universe have sanctioned? These are the thoughts that went through my mind via my inner spirits after passing the abortion clinic.
